Winter Tree Removal in Otter Tail County: Safe & Efficient Service All Year Long

Low Impact and Better Access to Shoreline Areas

Don't wait for spring to handle that problem tree. At Lakes Area Tree Service, we work year-round to provide professional and reliable tree care, even through the coldest Minnesota months. In fact, winter can be the ideal time for certain projects, offering unique advantages that ensure a safer, more efficient job.

Benefits of Winter Tree Removal

  • Access Difficult Areas: This is one of the biggest benefits of a Minnesota winter! For shoreline properties, thick ice allows us to access bluff trees that are otherwise unreachable. We can safely remove trees from your lakeside and wetter areas, making difficult and hazardous jobs simple and straightforward.

  • Lighter Footprint: Frozen ground protects your lawn and landscaping from damage caused by heavy equipment and falling branches. Without the risk of sinking into soft soil, we can work more efficiently and leave your property looking pristine.

  • Less Impact: The risk of damage to your lawn, shrubs, flowers, slopes, and landscaping is significantly reduced. This allows us to work more aggressively and safely in tight spaces.

  • Better Visibility for Pruning: Without leaves, it's easier to assess the true structure of a tree. This allows us to identify dead or weak branches more accurately, leading to a more precise and effective pruning job.

Winter Is The Best Time To Remove Shoreline Trees

We accessed this lakeside Cottonwood tree from the ice rather than the owner's yard, minimizing impact to their property and shoreline. It looks rough now, but it's just a little tree dirt that will disappear after the next snowfall. We removed the stump, scooped up all the debris, and by spring it will be hard to tell we were ever there.
